Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in Portugal. He currently plays for Real Madrid (Spanish Club) and he is also the captain in the Portuguese National team. In both teams, Ronaldo plays in the forward position. He is also rated as world’s best soccer player.
Recognitions: In 2008, he got his first FIFA Ballon d’Or award. He also got the same award in 2013 and 2015. In 2015, he scored his 500th goal. (As of January 2016)
Interesting facts: He was named after U.S president Ronald Reagan. Reagan was his father’s favorite actor. Ronaldo grew up in poverty. He was expelled from school after throwing a chair at his teacher. At age of 15 Ronaldo was diagnosed with racing heart, but after successful surgery, he was able to return back to training. Ronaldo’s annual salary for the year 2015 is 21 million Euro.
